Tender queues set the real deadline. On return we aim to have you at the pier ahead of the last tender, not just ahead of the all-aboard time, and we build in margin for Queensferry's single approach road on busy days, when several ships can be in the Forth together. Passengers often underestimate how long the queue for the last tender can be, so we advise being at the pier well before the final departure.
Many guests want the Castle, the Royal Mile and lunch without a coach tour.
