Most cruises that market themselves as leaving from London actually sail from Southampton or Dover. Southampton is roughly two hours from the capital, Dover somewhat closer. The route is largely the M3 and takes about two hours, subject to the day's traffic, which we monitor so you do not have to watch the clock.
Dover's cruise terminals are reached by the M20 and the A2 from London. Sailing days can add traffic near the port, so we leave allowance for queues on the approach. The same applies on disembarkation, when many passengers leave together and the roads out of the port fill with coaches and cars.
