Cruise port transfers in BostonRoute 3 and the Sagamore Bridge take you to the Cape in about 1 hour 45 minutes when clear. Summer Fridays can double that. We suggest early starts, and the chauffeur can drop you in Hyannis, Falmouth or farther out.
Providence is about an hour via I-95. Newport adds another 45 minutes, a favourite for weddings and summer weekends. Mansion visits and restaurant bookings can be coordinated with the chauffeur's schedule.
New York is four hours. Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is an hour along I-95. The SUV suits both for working or resting on the way, and returns can be arranged on a different day.
In autumn, leaf-peeping trips to the Berkshires or New Hampshire draw crowds. The chauffeur picks quieter roads, and winter ski runs are handled in a vehicle ready for snow.
Out-of-town trips from Boston follow the seasons. In October the roads to New Hampshire and the Berkshires fill with visitors looking at the foliage, in winter the ski routes to Vermont and Maine are busy on Friday and Sunday, and in summer the coast from Cape Cod to Rhode Island is slow.
