Oslo sits at the head of a fjord, ringed by forested hills, and every trip has a gradient or a tunnel in it. Gardermoen lies 50 km north, the waterfront has been rebuilt around Bjørvika and Aker Brygge, and the ring tolls are all automatic. Oslo Airport at Gardermoen is about 50 km north of the city, and the E6 south is usually a 40 to 50 minute drive. Winter snow and weekday peaks on the approach to the city can add time. The airport has a single terminal building, which makes meeting simple even when the hall is busy.

Some streets are pedestrianised or have tram tracks, and the car may have to stop at a corner. We ask your address early and say where the car will stop.
