In festival and trade-fair weeks, Nice airport fills with delegates and the roads to Cannes become slow. Arrivals around midday and in the evening are the worst. We recommend a buffer, and we monitor traffic so we can tell you honestly whether to leave straight away or wait for the road to clear.
Morning flights from Nice mean leaving Cannes around dawn to reach check-in in time. We confirm the pickup the evening before and keep the desk reachable overnight. If you are returning from a party, the chauffeur can collect you directly from the hotel entrance.
From Nice airport the A8 is the fastest road west, but the old coast road through Antibes and Juan-les-Pins is more scenic and sometimes quicker when the motorway is blocked.
