Weekends and public holidays are the worst, and we recommend leaving early, especially for return journeys on Sunday evening. The chauffeur monitors the queues and picks the crossing that is moving best on the day. Travellers sometimes forget that the causeway and the Second Link serve different parts of Johor, so we confirm your destination and choose the crossing that suits the final address.
Sentosa is 20 minutes from the CBD. Resorts World Sentosa, Capella and the beach clubs are common destinations, and the SUV can enter with the hotel's or venue's access arrangement. On busy weekends we plan the final approach with care, as the island road can queue back. The ferry terminal at Tanah Merah and the cruise centres are also common destinations, and we confirm check-in times and pickup points with the operator before the day.
Cross-island, the Pan-Island Expressway and the Ayer Rajah Expressway carry most traffic. At peak, a trip from Jurong to Changi can take well over an hour, so we plan accordingly and suggest the best departure window. A midday trip is often half the time of an evening one. Expressway congestion does not always follow the clock, so the chauffeur watches live updates and may leave a few minutes early to avoid a known bottleneck on the route.
