Working days in Stuttgart

Our chauffeurs work daily around the Stuttgart city centre and Vaihingen, with regular runs to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the Porsche Museum, Messe Stuttgart.

Messe Stuttgart sits directly beside the airport, so exhibition transfers are short but the B27 into the valley basin congests badly at rush hour.

Chauffeured SUV hire in Stuttgart

Everything included, in Stuttgart

Stuttgart sits in a basin, and the basin shapes everything. The airport and the Messe stand on the plateau to the south, the centre lies down in the valley, and the car manufacturers keep their gates on the far sides of both. Visitors often discover that a short distance on the map is a slow one on the road. We assign a vetted chauffeur and a private SUV at a fixed all-inclusive price, with a driver who knows which approach is clear at which hour.

Up on the Filder plateau

Stuttgart Airport lies on the Filder plain south of the city, in the same cluster of roads as the Messe and the A8 motorway. For a visitor it is a rare case of an airport close to a trade-fair ground, and the walk between the two is short. The way down into the valley is a different story. The B27 and the Neue Weinsteige are the main routes into the city, and both slow noticeably at rush hour. Your chauffeur picks the one that is moving.

Where the carmakers are

Mercedes-Benz has its headquarters and museum in Untertürkheim, on the Neckar, while Porsche's museum and main plant sit in Zuffenhausen to the north. Bosch, Mahle and a long list of suppliers are scattered between the two and out toward Feuerbach and Gerlingen. Corporate visitors often need a day that crosses the valley more than once, and a chauffeur who knows the gate procedures at each site saves the half hour that otherwise vanishes at the barrier.

The city centre and Vaihingen

The centre, around the Hauptbahnhof, Schlossplatz and the pedestrian Königstraße, is compact but steep and carries heavy construction for the long-running station project. Access to hotels near the Schlossplatz can change from one month to the next. In the south-west, Vaihingen has the university campus and an office park that draw consultants and engineers. Reaching it from the centre means the Autobahn spur or the B14, and both can stack up in the morning.

Volksfest, football and the valley air

The Cannstatter Volksfest on the Wasen meadows, held in autumn, brings crowds to Bad Cannstatt and fills the road along the Neckar for several weeks. Matches at the stadium nearby add their own evenings of congestion, and the Frühlingsfest in spring is a smaller version. Stuttgart also has a low-emission zone covering much of the city. Our SUVs are suitable, but we mention it so you understand why we steer certain streets.

Out of the basin

From Stuttgart the road network fans out quickly. Baden-Baden is about an hour and a quarter, Frankfurt around two hours, Munich two hours fifteen and Zurich about two and a half. Closer in, Ludwigsburg with its baroque palace, Tübingen and Esslingen make comfortable half-day trips, and the Swabian wine villages above the Neckar suit a slow afternoon. Prices are fixed per journey, with tolls and waiting time included from the start.

The Stuttgart fleet

One silhouette. Four ways to travel.

We run full-size SUVs and nothing else in Stuttgart — the higher seat, the longer wheelbase, the cargo hold that swallows a family's luggage or a crew's equipment. What changes between classes is the finish, the space and the level of protection.

FAQ

SUV limo service in Stuttgart — questions

How far is Stuttgart Airport from the city centre?

Roughly 13 kilometres south of the centre. In normal traffic the transfer takes about 25 to 35 minutes, but the climb out of the valley at rush hour can add a good deal. Your price stays fixed.

Can you take me to the Mercedes-Benz or Porsche Museum?

Yes. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is in Untertürkheim and the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen. We time your arrival to your slot, plan the parking side, and wait or return for you.

Is the price affected by Messe Stuttgart events?

No. We take expected fair traffic into account when we quote, and the price you were given when you booked is the one you pay, however busy the approach roads are.

Do you cover the Cannstatter Volksfest?

Yes. The Volksfest runs for a few weeks in autumn and slows the Neckar side of the city. Tell us your hotel and your plans, and we agree a pickup point away from the worst of the crowds.

How long is the drive from Stuttgart to Munich?

About two hours fifteen minutes by road, on the A8. We quote one fixed price including tolls and waiting time, and the exact time depends on roadworks and the day of the week.

Can I book an armored SUV in Stuttgart?

Yes. B4 and B6 armored vehicles can be reserved ahead, with chauffeurs trained in security driving. Tell us the itinerary and the number of passengers, and we confirm what is possible.
