Cruise port transfers in LisbonThe A1 motorway links the two cities in around three hours. A private SUV suits executives who would rather work en route than manage a station platform, and the chauffeur can stop in Coimbra or Fátima if the programme calls for it. Departing early avoids the heaviest Friday afternoon traffic leaving the capital. East of the Tagus the landscape opens into cork oaks and vineyards. Évora, with its Roman temple and walled centre, is about an hour and a half away, and works as a day trip or as the start of a wine-country weekend with the same driver collecting you afterwards from whichever estate you finish at.
Sintra and Cascais are the usual short transfers. Sintra's hill roads move slowly in high season, so we advise early departures. Transfers can end at a hotel, a golf club or a private villa, and the chauffeur confirms the final access road beforehand, since some estate lanes are narrow and gated. Long journeys are more pleasant with a considered stop. Tell us if you want coffee in Santarém, a visit in Tomar or lunch on the coast, and we price the route accordingly. Return journeys can be scheduled on a later day, with the same or a different chauffeur, whichever suits the rest of your plans. On the Cascais line, the coast road is pleasant but slow on sunny weekends, so the chauffeur may suggest the motorway there and the seafront on the return.
