Cruise port transfers in TampaThe drive to Orlando runs east along I-4, usually about an hour and a half. I-4 is the problem: construction, crashes and theme-park traffic can double the time on a Friday afternoon or a holiday Sunday. Your chauffeur monitors conditions and adjusts the departure. Pickups at either end can be a hotel, an airport or a park gate. Leaving ahead of the Friday rush, by an hour or more, often gains more than any route choice, and we will suggest it if your diary has room.
Sarasota is about an hour south by I-75, or by the Sunshine Skyway if you prefer the view. We can continue to Siesta Key, Longboat Key or Anna Maria Island, where beach-weekend traffic builds on the access roads. Guests often combine this with a golf day or a visit to a winter home, and the chauffeur stays with the car throughout.
These two are the shortest intercity runs, but crossing the bay can be painful at the wrong hour. The Howard Frankland, Gandy and Courtney Campbell bridges each have different bottlenecks. The chauffeur chooses accordingly and drops you at the pier, the Vinoy, a Clearwater Beach resort or St. Pete-Clearwater Airport, depending on the plan. Sunset weekends at Clearwater Beach are the slowest of all, so we leave early or late by design, and we say so when we confirm the pickup time.
Some trips run much longer, such as a transfer to Naples, Fort Myers or Miami, or north toward Gainesville and Tallahassee. These are quoted as one fixed fare for the full journey, with agreed stops for rest and meals. For very long drives, we agree the schedule and any handover with you first, rather than improvising on the highway. Overnight stays at the far end can be built into the booking if the return is on another day, so the arrangement is settled before you leave Tampa.
