Corporate travel in HelsinkiThe drive north follows the E12, passing Hyvinkää and Hämeenlinna, and takes roughly two hours. Tampere has a university, engineering firms and a growing technology scene, so this is a common business run. In winter, the road can be icy after dark, and the chauffeur sets pace accordingly. Hämeenlinna is a convenient midpoint for a coffee stop, and the chauffeur can pause there if you ask.
The coastal motorway runs west through Espoo, Lohja and Salo, and reaches Turku in about two hours. Guests head to the harbour for the Stockholm ferries, the shipyard or the old cathedral. The road is busy on Friday afternoons in summer, which we take into account when quoting times. Visitors heading for the Stockholm ferry from Turku harbour can be taken straight to the terminal, with the departure time planned around check-in.
Porvoo is the classic day trip, about an hour east on the E18, with its wooden riverside warehouses and cathedral hill. It also hosts industrial and energy sites that attract business visitors. Both uses fit a day booking with a return to Helsinki. Allow a few hours in town and the return drive through the evening is calm in most seasons.
You can book a one-way drop, a return the same day or a day that continues with several stops. Waiting time for the return leg is agreed when you book, so no surprises appear on the invoice.
Summer brings traffic to the lake districts and the coast, and the midsummer weekend is particularly heavy. Winter brings darkness by mid-afternoon and the possibility of snow. The chauffeur checks forecasts before departure and may leave earlier than a standard schedule would suggest. The same applies to northbound runs on winter evenings, when the road to Tampere can lose visibility in snowfall.
