The E6 leads north through Bohuslän to the Norwegian border at Svinesund, and on to Oslo in around three hours. Border checks are rare but possible, and passports are required. The fjord scenery after the border is a draw in itself.
Stockholm is around five hours via the E20, passing Alingsås, Skövde and Örebro. Many clients choose the car for a day where the train timetable does not fit. We plan rest stops and weather margins, and the chauffeur is rested for the return.
Lysekil, Smögen and Tanum's rock carvings are all within a day's drive. Roads narrow and ferries can add time in summer. A day trip is quoted as a fixed fare with waiting and the return timed to daylight.
Ice, snow and short days are standard from November to March. We use winter tyres, advise earlier departures and tell you honestly when a trip is better postponed. The fare stays fixed however long the weather makes the road.
