Intercity & Long Distance in Portland, priced up front

Portland sits close to some of the Pacific Northwest's most rewarding drives. The Columbia River Gorge begins within an hour, Mount Hood is about an hour and a half away, the Oregon coast at Cannon Beach is similar, and Seattle lies three hours north. We offer fixed-price intercity transfers in a chauffeured SUV so that the road is part of the pleasure.

Business district

Working days in Portland

Our chauffeurs work daily around downtown Portland and the Lloyd District, with regular runs to the Oregon Convention Center, Powell's City of Books, the Willamette waterfront.

Columbia and Snake River cruises board at the downtown waterfront dock; Willamette Valley tasting days are better booked hourly than as fixed transfers.

Corporate travel in Portland

Up to Seattle

I-5 north crosses the Columbia into Washington and runs through Longview, Olympia and Tacoma to Seattle. The drive is around three hours without traffic and four or more on a Friday afternoon. The stretch around Tacoma is the most unpredictable. A chauffeur lets you work, rest or make calls, and drops you at your hotel or at Sea-Tac. If you are heading to a meeting in Bellevue or South Lake Union, say so when booking and we plan the arrival around the city's own congestion, which can add as much time as the highway itself.

The Columbia Gorge

Heading east on I-84, the Gorge opens up quickly. Multnomah Falls is around 30 minutes out, Hood River just under an hour, and the scenic Historic Columbia River Highway offers a slower alternative on dry days. Winter ice and wind close sections of the highway at times. The chauffeur monitors conditions and suggests a plan B, such as stopping at Cascade Locks or turning back early.

Mount Hood

Timberline Lodge and the ski areas of Mount Hood are reached via US-26 through Sandy and Government Camp. In winter, chain and traction requirements can apply, and the pass can close. Our SUVs are all-wheel drive and the chauffeur is accustomed to the climb. We build a buffer into every winter schedule and tell you if we think a trip should be postponed.

Coast and wine country

Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock are about 90 minutes west on US-26 and US-101, and the Willamette Valley wineries start about an hour south. Both are well suited to a full day with a chauffeur who waits. Summer weekends bring traffic on the coast road, so we advise early departures. For wine days, the fixed price covers the waiting time between tastings.

Planning a long day

For any journey beyond an hour, we agree the departure time, the stops and the likely return before you leave. Fuel, tolls where they apply and normal waiting time are in the fixed price. The desk watches road conditions along the route, from Gorge winds and ice on I-84 to snow on US-26, and we tell you early if the plan should change.
