Business district

Working days in San Jose

Our chauffeurs work daily around downtown San Jose and the Silicon Valley campuses, with regular runs to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Levi's Stadium, Santana Row.

Corporate campus visits in Palo Alto, Mountain View and Cupertino need registered vehicle access; we submit plate details with the visit request beforehand.

Corporate travel in San Jose

San Francisco

San Francisco is about an hour away when traffic is light and well over an hour and a half at rush hour. The chauffeur uses US-101 or I-280 depending on the day. I-280 is more scenic and often steadier, while US-101 passes SFO and is faster to the airport. We set the fare once at booking, whichever road is chosen, and drop you at the hotel or office door.

Monterey and Carmel

South and west, Monterey is around an hour and a half down SR-17 and SR-1 or via US-101 and SR-156. Carmel and Pebble Beach are a little further. It is a popular destination for golfers, wine drinkers and weekend visitors, and a chauffeur lets everyone share a bottle at lunch. In summer, morning fog on the coast can slow the final miles, and Friday afternoons are the busiest.

Napa and Sonoma

Napa is about an hour and three quarters from San Jose, depending on the bridges and the day. A full day of tasting with a chauffeur who waits is a calmer version of the trip than a rental car. We plan the order of wineries with you and keep the vehicle at each. Returning in the evening, the Friday and Sunday traffic on I-80 and SR-12 is the thing to plan around.

Santa Cruz and the coast

Over the mountains on SR-17, Santa Cruz is usually 45 minutes to an hour. The road is twisting, and fog or an accident near Summit Road can close lanes. A chauffeur used to the route is a welcome presence on a wet night. For Half Moon Bay, SR-92 takes you across the Peninsula, about an hour, with a rush of weekend visitors in pumpkin season.

Eastward and the Central Valley

Less often, travelers head east over Pacheco Pass toward Los Banos and the Central Valley, or toward Yosemite, which is several hours away and best treated as an overnight plan. We quote these longer runs individually, with the stops and timing agreed in advance and the chauffeur kept for the journey. Mountain passes and winter weather matter on those roads, so tell the desk your preferred travel day early and we will advise on the safest departure window before you commit to a plan.

FAQ

Intercity & Long Distance in San Jose — questions

How far is Monterey from San Jose?

About 70 miles, typically 1 hour 30 minutes. Fog and weekend traffic can add time, and the price is fixed whatever the roads do.

Can you do a day trip to Napa with winery stops?

Yes. We plan the order of stops with you, the chauffeur waits at each, and the fixed price covers the whole day.

Is the fare based on distance or time?

It is a single fixed price for the agreed journey, set when you book and including waiting time as planned.

Can I travel one way only?

Yes. One-way transfers are available on every route, and the price is fixed in advance, so you pay for the trip you take and not for a return you do not need.

How many passengers can travel together?

Capacity depends on the SUV, and we match the vehicle to your group and luggage when you tell us the numbers.
