Intercity & Long Distance in Vienna, priced up front

Vienna is central to some of Europe's easiest long transfers. Bratislava is about an hour away, Budapest around two and a half, Salzburg about three and Prague about three and a half. A private SUV beats the train when you have luggage, a group, or a meeting at an address no station reaches, and the price is fixed up front.

Business district

Working days in Vienna

Our chauffeurs work daily around the Innere Stadt and Donau City, with regular runs to the Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace, the Austria Center Vienna.

Danube river cruises board at Handelskai and Reichsbrücke, 15 minutes from the Ring; Vienna's first district is largely pedestrianised with permit-only vehicle access.

Corporate travel in Vienna

Bratislava and Budapest

To Bratislava the route follows the A6 and the Slovak D2, crossing the border without a stop in the Schengen area. Budapest takes the A4 and M1 for about two and a half hours. Your chauffeur plans a comfort stop if you want one, and tolls and the vignettes for each country are included in the price you agreed at booking.

Salzburg and the Salzkammergut

The A1 west to Salzburg is a straightforward three-hour drive, with a detour option via the lakes of the Salzkammergut or to Hallstatt. In winter we fit appropriate tyres, since snow on the Alpine fringe is a regular reality around Linz and Salzburg from late November, and your chauffeur checks conditions before leaving.

Prague and the north

Prague takes about three and a half hours via the D1 or the Brno route. We can break the trip at Znojmo or Telč for lunch, or at the wine villages of Retz on the Austrian side. Return trips can be booked on the same day or the following morning, with the same chauffeur if you prefer.

Border practicalities and return trips

Crossing into Slovakia, Hungary or Czechia from Vienna is straightforward within the Schengen area, but guests should still carry passports or national ID. Your chauffeur handles fuel, tolls and vignettes, and knows where the roadworks on the A6 and the M1 usually sit. If you want to return the same evening, the driver waits or shuttles back and collects you at an agreed hour. For longer stays, we can dispatch a fresh vehicle for the return leg at the same fixed price.

Stopping places worth the detour

Some of the best parts of a Vienna road trip are the places in between. Heading east, the Hainburg hills and the Carnuntum Roman site sit just off the road to Bratislava. Heading west, Klosterneuburg and Melk give an abbey stop with views over the river. To the south, the Semmering railway region offers a mountain pass that is worth a short walk, though winter fog can close the view. We propose a stop only when the timetable can take it, and drop it if the day is already tight.
