Intercity & Long Distance in Salzburg, priced up front

Salzburg lies at a junction of routes: west to Bavaria, east to Vienna and south into the Alps. A chauffeured SUV removes the train changes and the luggage handling, and delivers you to the address. The price is fixed when you book, includes tolls, the Austrian vignette and waiting time, and does not move with the traffic on the A1 or A8.

Working days in Salzburg

Our chauffeurs work daily around the Salzburg city centre and Salzburg Süd, with regular runs to Hohensalzburg Fortress, the Mozart birthplace, the Salzburg Festival halls.

During the summer Festival the old town closes to traffic and hotel access is controlled; winter runs to Kitzbühel and Zell am See need winter tyres, which we fit as standard.

Corporate travel in Salzburg

Munich by road

Munich takes about an hour and a half on the A8 in normal conditions. Delays arise near the border and on the approach to the Munich ring, especially on Friday afternoons. Many clients choose a chauffeur for Munich Airport, where we track the flight and set the departure to match. The transfer is a single price whatever the traffic does.

Vienna and the east

Vienna lies about three hours east on the A1, which runs past Linz and the Wachau. It is a comfortable day trip or a one-way transfer to a hotel in the Ring. Break the journey at Melk or Linz if you wish, and we add the stop to the price. We advise leaving before the morning rush near Vienna. The stretch past Linz is the one most often slowed by roadworks, which the chauffeur monitors.

Hallstatt and the Salzkammergut

Hallstatt is around an hour and a quarter away, and the lake district is closer still. In high summer the village is packed and the parking areas fill early, so we plan the arrival and pickup point carefully. Out of season, the lakes at Mondsee, Attersee and St. Wolfgang make for quiet drives. Ask us about timing for the best light. A very early start usually gives you the village and the lake with only a few other people.

Innsbruck, Kitzbühel and the Alps

Innsbruck is two hours to the west through German territory by the Autobahn corridor, and Kitzbühel is about an hour and a quarter. Winter conditions matter, and our SUVs run on winter tyres in the cold season. We monitor road reports and tell you if heavy snow requires an earlier departure or an alternative route. The Pass Thurn road toward Kitzbühel is the sort of route where a local chauffeur's judgement matters most.

FAQ

Intercity & Long Distance in Salzburg — questions

How long is the drive from Salzburg to Vienna?

About three hours on the A1 in normal traffic. We quote one fixed price including tolls and the vignette, and can add a stop at Melk or Linz if you want one.

Is a chauffeured SUV better than the train to Munich?

For door-to-door travel with luggage or a tight schedule, often yes. The drive takes about an hour and a half, and the chauffeur can wait and bring you back, which a train cannot do.

Can you take me to Hallstatt for the day?

Yes. It is around an hour and a quarter. We can wait during your visit and return you in the evening, as one booking with a fixed price.

Are tolls and the Austrian vignette included?

Yes. The price is all-inclusive, so tolls, the vignette, fuel and the chauffeur's time are already counted. You pay the figure quoted at booking.

Can I add a stop on the way to Innsbruck?

Yes. Tell us when booking, and we include the stop and the extra time in the fixed price. A change on the day is also possible, subject to the chauffeur's schedule.
