Intercity & Long Distance · Hamburg

Intercity & Long Distance in Hamburg, priced up front

German trains are fast between major stations, but delays and the last mile are familiar frustrations. A private car links Hamburg directly with Berlin, Hanover, Bremen, Kiel and Copenhagen at a fixed fare. We run one-way and return intercity journeys in full-size SUVs.

Cruise port transfers

Ship to door in Hamburg

We serve Hamburg's Altona, Steinwerder and HafenCity cruise terminals, with the chauffeur tracking your ship's arrival and meeting you on the day.

Hamburg has three separate cruise terminals spread across the harbour; we confirm which one your ship uses before the sailing rather than assuming HafenCity.

Cruise port transfers in Hamburg

Berlin and the east

The A24 takes you to Berlin in around three hours in good conditions, with roadworks the main uncertainty. Many travellers prefer the car for a group or heavy luggage. We quote the destination you need, such as Mitte or the BER airport.

Hanover, Bremen and the west

Hanover is about an hour and three quarters by the A7 and Bremen about an hour and a quarter by the A1. These runs suit meetings that begin early or end late when trains are thin. We plan the departure to avoid the worst of the Elbtunnel.

Kiel, Luebeck and the coast

Kiel is about an hour and a quarter north, with ferries to Scandinavia, and Luebeck about an hour. The Baltic resorts such as Timmendorfer Strand are beyond. We time pickups around ferry check-in where relevant.

Copenhagen and Denmark

Copenhagen is a long drive through Denmark, and the Fehmarn link is not yet a through route. Most guests take the route via Flensburg and the bridges. We plan rest stops and quote one fare. For ferries, we need the booking reference.

Business trips to Hanover and the Ruhr

Hamburg's trade ties extend to Hanover's fairground and the cities of the Ruhr. A car lets you leave from your hotel door and arrive at the venue gate, with no connection to miss. On long runs we plan rest stops and drivers' hours at the outset, and share the schedule with you.

Island and coast trips

Sylt and the North Sea islands are reached by car train at Niebuell, and the Baltic resorts by road. We plan the drive around the car-train departure, with a buffer for traffic. The chauffeur can leave you at the terminal and return for you at the end of the stay.

Rail strikes and disruptions

German rail strikes and signal failures can leave travellers stranded at short notice. A private car is the dependable alternative, and the desk can arrange a pickup within hours if a vehicle is available. For important meetings, booking in advance gives a guaranteed seat, with the fare fixed regardless of disruption.
