Intercity & Long Distance in Bucharest, priced up front

Bucharest sits at the heart of Romania's road network, and an SUV with a driver is often the most comfortable way to reach the Carpathian towns, Transylvanian cities or the coast. We quote a fixed price per journey, plan the departure around the congestion you would otherwise meet, and drive you door to door.

Business district

Working days in Bucharest

Our chauffeurs work daily around the Pipera and Floreasca business districts, with regular runs to the Palace of the Parliament, the Old Town, Romexpo.

The DN1 to Brașov and the Prahova valley resorts is a single-carriageway bottleneck at weekends; we quote those runs on realistic weekend timings.

Corporate travel in Bucharest

The Prahova valley and Brașov

Sinaia, with Peleș Castle, and Brașov, with its Black Church and Bran Castle nearby, are the most requested runs. They follow the DN1 through Ploiești and Comarnic, a road notorious for weekend and holiday queues, especially at ski season. We usually advise leaving before dawn on Fridays and Sundays.

Sibiu, Cluj and Transylvania

Longer trips to Sibiu or Cluj-Napoca take most of a day by road. They can be booked as a one-way transfer or as a multi-day hire where the driver remains with you through the sights. We plan stops, fuel and rest breaks for you.

Constanța and the coast

The A2 motorway makes the run to Constanța and the resorts of Mamaia easy in the off season. In July and August, heavy traffic near the Fetești bridge can add hours. We schedule around it or recommend a night-before departure.

Mountain roads and seasons

The Transfăgărășan high road is open only in summer, typically after the snow clears, and closes again in autumn. In winter, higher roads need chains or are shut. An SUV with a driver who watches road reports is a safer choice than guessing.

Timing the departure

The best intercity journeys start before the city wakes up. A six o'clock start from Bucharest reaches Sinaia before the weekend queues form, while a Sunday afternoon return meets them head-on. We tell you which hours to avoid and, where possible, suggest an alternative such as a Saturday evening departure.

Stops worth making

The route to Brașov passes Ploiești, Câmpina, and Breaza, with viewpoints and good restaurants along the Prahova valley. If you want a coffee at Sinaia or a quick walk around Peleș grounds, say so, and we fit the stop into the fare rather than treat it as an add-on.

One-way versus return

A one-way transfer to Brașov, with you staying on, is priced differently from a day return in which the car waits. We quote both so you can compare and choose, and a one-way ride can end at any address, not just a hotel.

FAQ

Intercity & Long Distance in Bucharest — questions

How long is the drive from Bucharest to Brașov?

Roughly two to three hours, depending heavily on the day. Weekend mornings and Sunday evenings on the DN1 can be considerably slower, so we recommend off-peak departures.

Can you do a multi-day trip across Transylvania?

Yes. We can arrange a chauffeur for several days, covering castles, cities and mountain roads, with accommodation stops planned together with you.

Is the Transfăgărășan road always open?

No. It is usually closed in the cold months and opens in summer once the snow is cleared, so we check current status before planning a trip there.

Can I get off at a castle and be picked up later?

Yes. The chauffeur can wait at Peleș, Bran or any other stop, or return at an agreed time, and we plan the fare around the extra hours.
